What could be the next type of summon?

In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, we saw the introduction of the "Contact Fusion Summon". The summon that does without the "Polymerisation" card or any other cards.

Following that, in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, the "Synchro Summon" was introduced where we required a tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monsters.

Currently, in Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, "Xyz Summon" takes the trend where we overlay cards to bring out the black frame cards from our Extra Deck.

As we can see, every new series brings forth a new type of summon, so after Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal ends, what could be the next type of summon for Yu-Gi-Oh!?

Therefore, its creativity time again! Below is the new type of summon I have come up with, the "Recharge Summon":

Note: "Diamond Head Dragon" is an anime exclusive card from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series that I have borrowed to illustrate how a "Recharge Summon" would work.

A Recharge monster would be color-coded Lavender (note: "Fusion monsters" are color-coded violet & "Trap cards" are color-coded purple).

How does a "Recharge Summon" work? Basically, A "Recharge Summon" would depend on the attack points of the monster. So for example, for "Diamond Head Dragon" above, its attack points is 2500. If you control a 2500 attack monster on your field and have another 2500 attack monster in your graveyard, you can take the 2500 attack monster from your graveyard and overlay with the monster on the field and send both of them to the spell/trap zone as "Recharge materials". Then Recharge Summon "Diamond Head Dragon" from your "Extra Deck."

Illustration of example:

1) You have a "Number 39: Utopia" on the field.
2) You have a "Stardust Dragon" and a "Elemental Hero Neos" in your graveyard.
3) "Diamond Head Dragon" is in your "Extra Deck".

4)"Number 39: Utopia", "Stardust Dragon" and "Elemental Hero Neos" have the same attack points of 2500.
5) "Diamond Head Dragon" also has an attack point of 2500.
6) Since all 4 monsters have the same attack point, a "Recharge Summon" can be performed.
7) "Diamond Head Dragon" requires a Recharge + 2 non-Recharger monsters to be summoned.
8) "Number 39: Utopia" will be the Recharger while "Stardust Dragon" and "Elemental Hero Neos" will be the non-Recharger monsters.
9) Overlay "Stardust Dragon" and Elemental Hero Neos" from your graveyard on "Number 39: Utopia" and shift the overlay units to the Spell/Trap Zone.
10) Special Summon "Diamond Head Dragon from your Extra Deck.
11) The overlay units are now "Diamond Head Dragon's" Recharge materials.

Hope you guys like this!

  1. looks great. But I'm thinking about a different way of summoning. It is based on the fact that there is one new zone for just thet kind of monsters.
Once per turn player can send 1 monster from hand to extra zone. When extra zone has all conditions for summon the player can summon a monster from extra deck.Monster in thet zone cannot be attacked but that monster cant attack directly(only if it has a special effect).Level of new monster is equal to number of monsters in thet zone.Player can summon one more monster using a new exsra monster. When that happened old extra monster is sent to field. :D
